SitRep Update: “They Want Confusion—We Want Clarity

Alright y’all, here’s where we stand. I’ve spent the last week digging, calling, cross-checking, and praying—and to be honest, it’s still a mess.

North Carolina’s General Assembly has moved forward on two billsSB328 and HB328—and while mainstream news like WRAL and the News & Observer are reporting that the crackdown has begun, nobody seems to know exactly what has passed, when, or what it really means.

Let me break it down:

⚖️ The Bills in Question:

👉 SB328

  • Passed both chambers as of June 25, 2025

  • Mostly just defines terms like "hemp-derived cannabinoids"

  • Implements age restrictions (21+)

  • Does not explicitly ban cannabinoids—more of a framework bill

👉 HB328

  • Much more serious—this one is the hammer

  • According to ncleg.gov, it was signed into law on June 19

  • But media reports are saying it passed on the 25th, which is false

  • This bill includes:

    • Licensing requirements

    • Felony-level penalties

    • A full prohibition on ALL cannabinoids except Delta-9 THC under 0.3%

    • Language stating: “No other cannabinoids shall be sold or possessed” without a pharmaceutical license

🚨 So, Has It Passed or Not?

That’s the question nobody can seem to answer clearly.

  • According to the NC Legislature’s official website, both bills were sent to committees after votes—but the timeline doesn’t match up with media reports.

  • HB328’s last listed action is “Ref To Com On Rules” as of June 26after the media claims it was signed.

  • SB328 also shows a referral to committee after a final vote, creating even more confusion.

I even called the NC legislative research office, and the person I spoke to didn’t sound too confident about what stage either bill is truly in. They confirmed HB328 had “passed,” but couldn’t explain why the official record still shows it in committee.

In short? We’re being kept in the dark—on purpose or by incompetence, who knows. But while the legal status is murky, the intent is crystal clear:

They’re coming for small businesses, patient access, and your freedom to use cannabinoids other than Delta-9.

🛑 Why This Matters:

If HB328 is signed and enforced as written, it would:

  • Ban all cannabinoids including CBD, CBG, THCA, Delta-8, CBN, THCp, and more

  • Make it illegal to possess, manufacture, or sell them

  • Force out independent businesses in favor of licensed pharmaceutical or corporate interests

  • Erase years of progress in hemp medicine and small-batch craft wellness

💪 What We’re Doing:

Even though it’s confusing, we’re not waiting to find out the hard way.

I’m organizing:

  • Community outreach and education—explaining what’s really happening

  • A potential protest or public rally

  • Resources for business owners and customers to stay involved, informed, and resilient

This is about freedom, medicine, and truth. And I won’t let them take any of that without a fight.

This is about the soul of a movement—and the future of natural health in this state.

They want confusion?

We bring clarity.

They bring fear?

We bring truth.

Stay alert. Stay loud. Stay free.
