Nature's Medicine vs. Manufactured Profit

From the Desk of Teddy James

Dang Them to Heck

I want to share something that’s been weighing on me—something deeper than products or profit.

Lately, I’ve been thinking a lot about the difference between healing and marketing. About how the natural world, rich with potential, is being dissected, patented, and sold back to us in synthetic form. And how so many of us never get the chance to experience nature as it was meant to help us—pure, intact, and personal.

I don’t claim to be a doctor, but I do study. I read the research, talk to people, and most importantly—I listen. I’ve seen what cannabinoids can do when used responsibly, and I build everything I offer around that belief.

So if you’re someone who likes to know what you’re putting in your body—or if you’re skeptical like I used to be—I invite you to look into what I use. Not because I want to convince you, but because I think the truth is worth knowing.

Let me share a few things I’ve learned.

🌿 CBD (Cannabidiol)

  • FDA-approved drug: Epidiolex, used to treat Lennox-Gastaut & Dravet syndromes (severe seizure conditions).

  • Study: New England Journal of Medicine (2017) showed significant reduction in seizures (NEJM Study).

  • Ongoing research supports CBD for anxiety, chronic pain, inflammation, and even schizophrenia symptom management.

🌿 THC (Delta-9-Tetrahydrocannabinol)

  • FDA-approved drug: Dronabinol, used for chemotherapy-induced nausea and AIDS-related appetite loss.

  • Combination therapy: Nabiximols (Sativex) is approved outside the U.S. for MS-related spasticity.

  • Studies show: Effective in chronic pain, neuropathy, and reducing muscle spasms (PubMed Review).

🌿 CBN (Cannabinol)

  • Clinical trial (2022): 293 participants; 20 mg of CBN helped reduce nighttime awakenings and improve sleep quality without next-day grogginess (PubMed Study).

  • Early evidence shows promise for sleep, pain, and neuroprotection.

🌿 CBG (Cannabigerol)

  • 2024 human study: First randomized, placebo-controlled trial showed CBG significantly reduced stress and anxiety in healthy adults (Nature Study).

  • Known for antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, and neuroprotective potential in preclinical models.

🌿 THCa (Tetrahydrocannabinolic Acid)

  • Animal models show effectiveness in reducing arthritis inflammation and providing neuroprotection in Alzheimer's-type models.

  • One study showed THCa inhibits TNF-alpha, a marker of inflammation, in lab-grown immune cells (PMC Article).

🌿 THCV (Tetrahydrocannabivarin)

  • Early studies suggest benefits for Type 2 diabetes and appetite regulation.

  • In a small clinical trial, THCV improved insulin sensitivity and lowered fasting blood sugar in diabetic patients (Study).

These aren’t fringe ideas!

These are peer-reviewed studies, FDA-reviewed medications, and international therapies rooted in the very same compounds I build my products around.

Now, to be clear—my drops and blends aren’t drugs.

But many of the ingredients—the cannabinoids themselves—are the exact same molecules used in these studies and treatments.

That’s not marketing.

That’s just chemistry.

When I say “Experience The Difference,” I don’t mean hype. I mean something grounded in both tradition and evidence. I make these products for folks who don’t want to trip out or feel "too high." Folks who want clarity, relief, or rest without the fog. And for people who’ve been left behind by a system that charges hundreds for something God already made.

Yes, I sell hemp. But I also go to food banks. I don’t have insurance. I live week to week, praying for the strength to keep going. This isn’t some wellness empire—it’s my life, my family, and my purpose.

So today I’m not just asking you to buy.

I’m asking you to share. Tell someone you love. Tell your neighbor who can’t sleep. Tell that friend with chronic pain who thinks they’ve tried everything. Not that I’ve got the “best weed.” But that I’m here—trying to help. Educating. Creating. Hoping.

Thanks for being a part of the story.

Great post, Teddy. I love the passion and info you’ve shared. Very informative article…I agree with what you’re saying. I take just one Big Pharma pill: it’s for epilepsy and even there, I’m inclined to get off of that and see if CBD might not do the same for seizure control. Had already been thinking about that.
